Ear Tubes

Normal symptoms post op:

Ear drainage lasting 4-5 days. It may be bloody. (Your child may be given ear drops after the procedure. Use the drops according to your surgeon’s instructions).
Your child may complain that things sound loud to them at first. This is due to the removal of fluid from behind the ear drums.
PAIN– If your child seems uncomfortable in the first 24- 48 hours use Tylenol of Motrin.

Thing to call about:

Fever greater than 102 F not breaking with Tylenol
Ear drainage lasting longer than 7 days
Dizziness
Hearing loss
